Teaching Assistant Job in Manchester

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Manchester school. The successful candidate will work with a Key Stage 1 pupil who has autism and hearing impairments, providing one-to-one support and helping them to stay on task in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with autism and hearing impairments
  • Help the pupil to stay on task in core subjects
  • Work with the pupil to develop their confidence and motivation
  • Support the pupil in developing their social and communication skills
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • 12 months experience of working in a school environment
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Experience of working with children with SEN/behavioural difficulties
