About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aero Pre-Sales Engineer to join our International Government Sales organisation. As a field-based role, you will work closely with Account Managers and Business Development Managers to identify customer problems and propose competitively advantageous solutions using Viasat's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales (revenue and bookings)
  • Act as the technical face of Viasat to end-users and partners, using our technology differentiation and compelling vision of the future to help set the brand preference for Viasat
  • Work with sales teams, partners and end users to define, shape and understand technical requirements, steering customers towards Viasat's unique differentiators
  • Deliver written technical content for proposals and costings for professional services to the sales and commercial teams for customer proposal inclusion
  • Provide in-depth technical workshops to partners and end users, including live demonstrations and hands-on training sessions
  • Represent Viasat at industry forums and give presentations at industry events
  • Actively support STEM activities for the business, including the development of academic relationships
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in partnering across an organisation with colleagues in finance, contracts, engineering
  • Experience with Viasat's growing portfolio of products and services, including hosted leasing, aircraft installations, ground segment compatibility and new hardware introduction with a focus on Government Aviation ISR (manned and unmanned) use-cases
  • IT literate in MS Office Word, Excel, etc
  • Self-motivated and flexible
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
