Senior Security Engineer | £70,000 + Benefits | High Wycombe (2 Days Per Week)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Burns Sheehan. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring and protecting our systems and networks, identifying and mitigating security risks, and implementing security responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security protocols and policies, and maintain governance of IT security policies and procedures.
  • Act as a security ambassador within the business, promoting a secure culture and fostering collaboration between teams.
  • Oversee daily security operations, ensuring prompt resolution of security incidents and supporting various security projects.
  • Take ownership and accountability for the delivery of security services to the business.
  • Monitor our networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions, and investigate any security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Collaborate with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to security best practices.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft, Azure, and MS public and private cloud certifications.
  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant security responses to changing business and project risks.
  • 3 years of work experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Detailed understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
