As a key member of our Benefits team, reporting directly to the Benefits Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects for the individuals we support within our thriving department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, DWP, and the individuals we support along with their families, through various communication channels to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation received from the DWP and Local Authorities, ensuring compliance with strict deadlines.
  • Manage the weekly BACS payment process, including daily bank statement downloads, uploads to the company system, manual cash allocation, and regular account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the administration, reconciliation, and auditing of Barclaycards in accordance with established expenditure guidelines.
  • Promptly notify all changes in circumstances and ensure timely action on all benefit reassessments and charges.
  • Create, maintain, and close corporate appointee accounts, serving as a primary contact to efficiently resolve any banking inquiries.
  • Assist the Benefits Manager in onboarding new starters through the acquisition process, collaborating with the Integration Team, Operations Manager, and relevant services to ensure a seamless transition for the individuals we support.
  • Ensure that personal money requests for non-appointees receive appropriate approval in line with the Schedule of Authority and adherence to company policies.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Benefits Manager.
