About the Role:

The 4* Deluxe Mandeville Hotel, recognized as a Preferred Hotel, is currently seeking a talented individual to enhance our dynamic Reservations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process reservations through various channels, ensuring adherence to brand standards while showcasing exceptional product knowledge.
  • Respond to incoming calls promptly, delivering a warm greeting and managing inquiries in line with our service standards.
  • Utilize the Opera system to record booking details, manage inquiries, and follow up on quotations to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify and understand client needs, promoting additional services to enhance direct bookings through a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct daily checks on reservations and pre-arrival details to confirm pricing accuracy and maintain updated information in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Adapt to pricing strategies and yield management practices to optimize room rates and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to guests, clients, and agents, maintaining alignment with brand standards.
  • Assist with group reservation management, ensuring smooth transitions from initial inquiries to handover to the Reservations Manager.
  • Oversee room inventory and availability to maximize sell-through rates.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, including room types, features, amenities, rates, and cancellation policies.
  • Engage in additional projects as directed by the Reservations Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with the reception team regarding special requests or last-minute changes.
  • Ensure all bookers are informed about hotel policies related to credit and release times.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in the Opera system.
  • Experience in managing inquiries from both individuals and groups.
  • Flexibility in attitude and working hours to accommodate varying business levels.
  • Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written, with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional guest and agent service.
  • Capability to multitask while maintaining a high level of detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
