We are seeking a skilled Housing Options Officer to join our team at CV-Library, a leading job search platform. As a Housing Options Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families in need of housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing guidance and support to help them access suitable accommodation.
  • Conduct main duty assessments, making informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, housing providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, including the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, to ensure compliance and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in housing options, homelessness, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the role.
