Neway International Ltd is seeking a dedicated Housing Support Officer to collaborate with a local authority.
Role Details:
This position involves a full-time commitment of 36 hours per week, operating from Monday to Friday on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage with individuals who have previously been incarcerated and are in need of housing assistance, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the support systems available upon their release.
2. Take the lead in evaluating and aiding this demographic to secure housing within the private rental market, facilitated by the council's supported lettings team after conducting a thorough affordability assessment.
3. Manage expectations with clients regarding financial viability, potential risks, and suitable living areas.
4. Provide resettlement assistance for a duration of up to 12 weeks post-move-in, ensuring clients successfully acclimate to their new living arrangements.
Qualifications:
Experience in housing support, particularly with vulnerable populations, is essential for this role.
