Job Title: Telecare Support Response Officer

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Telecare Support Response Officer to join our team at Daniel Owen Ltd. As a Telecare Support Response Officer, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to vulnerable individuals in need of emergency response services.

About the Service

Our SMART service provides a 24/7, 365-day alarm monitoring and response service to approximately 6,000 vulnerable people. Our team of Telecare Support Response Officers monitor activations from clients and arrange assistance as necessary. In situations where welfare assistance and support are required, a Telecare Support and Response Officer will be deployed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor alarm activations and respond accordingly
  • Provide support and assistance to vulnerable individuals in emergency situations
  • Work closely with the London Ambulance Service, Police, and Fire Service as needed
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Meet the essential requirements outlined below
Essential Requirements
  • Up-to-date First Aid Training from a reputable UK provider
  • Fire Evacuation Awareness training
  • Understanding of lifting techniques for assisting clients who have fallen
  • Enhanced DBS Check required for the role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of vulnerable people, particularly older members of the community
  • Ability to think clearly and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Current UK driving license and ability to drive in Central London
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required
