Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Analyst to join our Quality Department at Müller Bridgwater. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing quality performance through comprehensive analysis, in-depth subject expertise, and rigorous testing protocols, all while fostering continuous improvement aligned with Müller’s core values.

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent (42 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 2 days and 2 nights (7-7)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of laboratory tasks to the required standards.
  • Conduct all testing accurately and punctually, adhering to the established methods and protocols.
  • Perform daily calibrations and controls, investigating and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Prioritize workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, both electronic and physical, is maintained.

Müller Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting through data analysis, mentoring lab technicians to adopt a similar approach.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) and contribute to its development and maintenance.
  • Exhibit a strong drive for continuous quality improvement.
  • Complete internal audits on schedule and to the required standards.
  • Identify and report any quality issues to the team leader.
  • Ensure timely completion and reporting of internal and external proficiency testing.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Laboratory Technicians.
  • Support central team projects aimed at developing new methods, systems, and processes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in microbiological methods, including Total Viable Count and Enterobacteriaceae.
  • Previous laboratory experience with aseptic techniques, auditing, lab safety, NIR technology, equipment calibration, and laboratory accreditation standards.

Desirable Skills:

  • Pipetting skills.
  • HACCP Level 2 certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of microbiology and dairy chemistry.
