Position Overview: An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the Mental Health Directorate for a dedicated, dynamic, and seasoned Advanced Nurse Practitioner equipped with advanced clinical and leadership capabilities.

Candidate Profile: We seek to engage a credible and driven individual who aligns with the outlined person specification. The ideal candidate for the Advanced Practitioner role will possess recent or current mental health experience at a senior level, along with the ambition to pursue a post-graduate diploma in advanced clinical practice, including independent prescribing.

Leadership Responsibilities: As clinical leaders, they possess the autonomy and authority to act, accepting responsibility and accountability for their decisions. This level of practice is characterized by high-level autonomous decision-making, which includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including prescribing, for patients facing complex, multi-dimensional challenges.

Decision-Making Framework: Decisions are made utilizing high-level expert knowledge and skills, ensuring the highest standard of care for patients.
