We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our theatre department at NHS Scotland as a scrub nurse.
The successful candidate will be involved in the peri-operative care of patients within a wide range of surgical specialties, including gynaecology, orthopaedics, and trauma.
This is a 37-hour per week position, with the possibility of shift work, including night shifts, weekends, and participation in the on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality peri-operative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Work collaboratively with the theatre team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical operations
- Participate in the on-call rota and be available to work night shifts and weekends as required
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification
- Experience in theatre nursing or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
