Role Responsibilities...

As a Quality Engineer based in Bristol, you will support the Finance Platform in a dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery and maintenance of high-quality, customer-focused software. You will define and implement our Automation First strategy while continuously challenging, motivating, and guiding your quality engineering team.

Ideal Candidate Profile...

  • Minimum of 2 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering, with extensive knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking, and Test Tools.
  • Proficient in automating testing where suitable, enhancing and refining the test automation framework and coding standards within the team.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Accessibility tools, and experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Jenkins, GitHub, Selenium, Python, and Cucumber (BDD framework).

Additional Skills That Would Be Beneficial...

  • Understanding of Finance Technologies & Infrastructure is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Test Management skills, emphasizing strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps, including the ability to code using open-source testing tools or a willingness to learn (training can be provided).
  • Active participation in Communities of Practice, Guilds, and improvement initiatives, sharing knowledge with team members.
  • A desire to enhance technical expertise and understanding.
