Our Bristol and Burgess Hill locations are at the forefront of providing advanced Platform Management Systems (PMS) for the UK Royal Navy's sub-surface and surface fleets, including the Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, as well as Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. Our expertise also extends to the commercial marine sector, encompassing cruise liners and super-yachts.

Role Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Leading the planning and execution of:
    • Internal audits within established engineering, manufacturing, and production controls to ensure adherence to internal and external specifications and standards.
    • First Article Inspections.
  • Assisting in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to resolve product and process non-conformities and compliance gaps.
  • Monitoring and reviewing supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process non-conformities, improvements, and supplier actions.
  • Overseeing the quality of documentation and outputs generated throughout the project and product lifecycle to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Engineer position will possess:

  • A background in Quality Assurance and Mechanical/Manufacturing disciplines.
  • Experience in internal auditing or extensive experience in Quality Assurance within an ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of APQP and control plans.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
