About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Operations Director in delivering our Wholesale operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operations Director in the delivery of Wholesale operations strategy
  • Work with the Wholesale underwriting, claims, and support teams to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams and external vendors to deliver measurable process improvements
  • Develop and maintain operational KPIs
  • Support Operations with business issue analysis and resolution
  • Conduct and support regular process review activities, updating documentation as necessary and communicating across teams
  • Support the delivery of international projects by coordinating Wholesale operational activities, such as operational resilience, business continuity planning, and enterprise workflow
  • Stay up-to-date on new methodologies, tools, and technical developments that support process efficiency and effectiveness, such as RPA and AI
  • Attend industry forums, such as Lloyd's Blueprint 2, to ensure Markel is informed on the latest market developments and can plan accordingly
Requirements
  • A track record of process improvement
  • Experience or qualifications in Lean Six Sigma methodologies would be beneficial
  • A strong ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders
  • A hands-on approach, with high energy levels and self-motivation
  • Familiarity with Sequel systems, including Eclipse, Alteryx, and Docosoft (claims management system) would be beneficial
  • Experience within the insurance industry, particularly in the London Market, would be useful but not essential
