Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Junior Operations Analyst to support our operations team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily cash movement reports, managing payments preparation, and investigating discrepancies in settlement amounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Daily Cash Movement Reports: The Junior Operations Analyst will be responsible for preparing daily cash movement reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting of cash transactions.
  • Manage Payments Preparation: The candidate will be responsible for managing payments preparation, including fund transfers and issuing trade confirmations.
  • Investigate Discrepancies: The Junior Operations Analyst will investigate discrepancies in settlement amounts and reconcile cash breaks to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
  • Maintain Counterparty Information: The candidate will be responsible for maintaining counterparties' information and SSI against in-house systems.
  • Support Project Implementation: The Junior Operations Analyst will actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches, and support the implementation of new products and system modifications.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: The candidate will collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations and provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Spoken and Written English and Mandarin: The Junior Operations Analyst must be proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a banking role.
  • Understanding of Payments Schemes: The Junior Operations Analyst must have a solid understanding of payments schemes, including CHAPS and SWIFT.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
