About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a Food Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets in the food department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the food department, including stock management, rotas, and performance monitoring
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance
  • Work closely with the Lead Food Manager to achieve business objectives and support the store management team
  • Recruit, train, and develop colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets
