**Job Summary**

The JD Group is seeking a highly skilled YouTube Channel Manager to join our team. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activity across our JD Sports YouTube channel.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the channel's content schedule, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of content.
  • Oversee the full production process from concept to execution, ensuring projects meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Support the creation of graphical elements, such as thumbnails and end frames, to enhance channel engagement.
  • Collaborate with the channel lead to develop a channel growth strategy, focusing on community building and awareness.
  • Work with the channel executive to build and maintain a strong community, driving engagement and growth.
  • Develop and implement social and short-form content concepts that resonate with our target audience.
  • Manage the upload and scheduling of content, including titles, descriptions, metadata, hashtags, and subtitles.
  • Contribute to driving the channel towards key KPIs through community building and trend analysis.
  • Support the development of YouTube-driven talent briefs, including concepting, sourcing, budgeting, contracting, and managing conversations and content.
  • Report on YouTube channel activity, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key creative partners, identifying trends and new talent opportunities.
  • Build a strong on-channel community that positions JD Group at the forefront of the Urban Youth space.

**Requirements**

  • Strong knowledge of YouTube as a content platform, including experience in content management and writing metadata and SEO.
  • Experience in managing production processes, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube content, trends, and storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of the Urban Youth space across YouTube and content creators.
  • Track record of managing successful YouTube channels.
  • Prior experience, minimum 2 years, working in a content-driven environment with a history of YouTube.
  • In-depth knowledge of the back end of YouTube is essential.
  • Experience in YouTube/social strategies and how to captivate audiences through content and storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of reporting and awareness of the latest social trends.
  • Project management skills, organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication skills, able to give direction and liaise closely across different levels of the organization.
