Role Overview

The Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing strategies that ensure a secure environment, facilitate adherence to regulations, and foster well-being among both members and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and enhance health and safety strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Policy Formulation: Establish and enforce comprehensive health and safety policies.
  • Training and Empowerment: Equip employees with training and resources to cultivate a culture of safety awareness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with regulations and conduct thorough audits.
  • Incident Management: Create response protocols and implement corrective measures following incidents.
  • Data Evaluation: Assess safety data to uncover trends and identify areas needing improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with both internal and external parties to advocate for safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NEBOSH Diploma level or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in health and safety management within the fitness sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing effective health and safety strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and IT proficiency.
  • A genuine passion for health and safety, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the UK.
