Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Technical Operations Supervisor to become an integral part of our dynamic team at a client site in the North of Scotland. This role entails first-line supervision within a designated engineering area, encompassing team oversight, client interaction, and technical assistance to the helpdesk.

The Supervisor will adopt a proactive approach, collaborating across various contract layers to ensure seamless service delivery in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include supporting local teams in maintenance and reactive tasks, as well as managing minor project works.

This position will provide support to the Regional Engineering Manager and their deputies as necessary.

Building and maintaining customer relationships is crucial, as the Supervisor will play a key role in addressing current and emerging client needs, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly timesheet evaluations and validate technical documentation.
  • Serve as the primary user of handheld devices, offering training to engineers on FSI Go usage.
  • Regularly review engineer and subcontractor documentation, identifying additional work opportunities and necessary repairs.
  • Audit site logbooks and ensure compliance with inspection standards for tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Assist the helpdesk with technical inquiries related to reactive jobs and contribute to monthly maintenance planning.
  • Participate in site FM meetings, providing updates on ongoing issues related to M&E and Fabric services.
  • Accurately survey, measure, and estimate project requirements.
  • Act as a deputy for the Regional Manager as needed.
  • Execute PPM, proactive, and reactive tasks within specified timeframes to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide emergency callout support as required and participate in the call-out rota.
  • Oversee contractor performance on behalf of the client, ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
  • Maintain equipment and surrounding areas to meet company standards.
  • Deliver professional service and represent the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Engage proactively with clients to address concerns and relay information to management as needed.
  • Stay informed of contractual obligations and customer requirements at all times.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must possess the right to work in the UK
  • Time-served engineer in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Fabric trades with a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance to NPPV Level 2 (mandatory for contract work).
  • CSCS Skills card holder.
  • PASMA/IPAF certifications.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, projects, and minor works.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Full disclosure is a contractual requirement.
