Work Environment
You will be stationed in one of our Supported Living facilities.
We strive to foster positive relationships, creating a supportive environment. Our focus is on delivering person-centered care, which includes a variety of activities such as shopping, budget management, and cooking. Our services are tailored to promote independence among the individuals we support.
We utilize a digital social care record system to streamline daily documentation, allowing you to dedicate more time to the individuals you assist.
Shift Requirements
This is a 24-hour service, necessitating flexibility in your schedule. You will be required to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
What will your role entail?
This position is hands-on, with no two days being alike. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting adults with learning disabilities, autism, communication challenges, and behavioral issues
- Implementing a person-centered approach to care
- Providing personal care and support
- Facilitating a wide range of daily activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging individuals to achieve greater independence and control over their lives
- Spending quality time with individuals to understand how to deliver effective support and enhance their quality of life
- Delivering outcome-focused assistance to develop skills, interests, and independence
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to enable effective reviews and action planning for personal development

What qualities and skills are essential?
The ideal candidate will possess the right attitude and relevant experience in helping individuals manage anxiety. Familiarity with learning disabilities and complex needs is advantageous. Key attributes include:
- Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
- Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental
- A strong team player with high energy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role, including manual handling
A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.

Training and Development Opportunities

Training will commence after the completion of a six-month probation period, with dedicated coaching provided throughout the program.
