About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator to join our team at AVRS, a Galliford Try business. As an E&I Estimator, you will be responsible for providing project estimates for electrical and instrumentation works nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender information and interpret drawings to provide accurate estimates.
  • Undertake site visits to gather information and conduct take-offs.
  • Negotiate costs with suppliers and clients.
  • Submit quotes and estimates to clients within the Water and Nuclear sectors.
  • Write up proposal documents and ensure each tender is completed in line with expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislations, standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) to enhance skills and knowledge.

About You:

  • You will have a background in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Hold a degree qualification with suitable experience.
  • Be able to think clearly and demonstrate rational behind proposals.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Electrical Principles.
  • Be able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.
