About the Role

The Cultural Liaison will play a critical role in facilitating communication between our patients and staff, fostering a relationship of trust and understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a strong relationship with patients and staff, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
  • Translate medical information and facilitate cultural understanding to improve patient care.
  • Collaborate with MSF staff to develop culturally sensitive services and programs.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance cultural competence.
  • Ensure confidentiality, impartiality, and neutrality in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in interpreting and/or intercultural mediation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in migration or related projects.
  • Training or diploma in cultural interpretation or mediation.
