Position: Procurement Operations Coordinator

Location: Worcester with a blend of remote and office work

Salary: £43,325 - £45,605 annually

Work Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary for a duration of up to 12 months

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Procurement Operations Coordinator to join our Procurement team in Worcester. The primary objective of this role is to ensure value for money, uphold quality standards, enhance efficiency, manage risks, and adhere to organizational policies while promoting principles such as environmental sustainability, social diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing tender processes and managing contracts across various sectors, spearheading strategies for assigned categories
  • Engaging with stakeholders from our diverse operations, including Sanctuary Care, Students, and Property Services, to comprehend business requirements and ensure supplier alignment
  • Assisting the Group Procurement Manager
  • Conducting market research to gather intelligence, evaluate trends, and identify potential suppliers for products and services
  • Contributing to the formulation and execution of the Group's Procurement strategy and related protocols to guarantee the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective services

Required Skills and Experience:

  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification or a willingness to pursue this is preferred
  • Prior experience in procurement or contract management roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience in navigating complex organizations with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with contract law
  • Experience in public-sector procurement is advantageous
