Role Summary:

The Project Scheduler will play a crucial role in managing the Planning and Costing aspects of HVDC project initiatives.

We are seeking a Project Scheduler to assist the Lead Project Controls in executing the project according to the defined strategy, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate tender timelines utilizing established methodologies and challenge the team to effectively manage schedule risks while maintaining competitive offerings aligned with historical performance.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive project timeline that integrates contributions from all departments, units, and external partners involved in the project.
  • Ensure appropriate connections in the timeline to illustrate all interdependencies among contributing parties.
  • Secure commitments from functional leaders and hold them accountable for their deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the overall project planning team to ensure optimal synchronization of schedules.
  • Deliver a high-quality timeline that meets global standards, accurately reflecting the project status.
  • Maintain the timeline throughout the project lifecycle, gathering inputs from all project contributors.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with the project team to assess timeline status and operational rhythm.
  • Challenge functional leaders on projected completion dates to ensure they are realistic.
  • Provide timeline analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities using available tools and expertise.
  • Generate look-ahead reports, backlog assessments, and future late reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and actual risks, driving project priorities.
  • Create "what if" scenarios to enhance execution and collaborate with project teams to assess feasibility.
  • Offer strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Encourage functional leaders to address risks and follow up on risk mitigation actions.
  • Deliver and communicate regular status updates.
  • Provide necessary customer reporting as per contractual obligations and engage directly with clients on scheduling matters.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to lead project teams in controlling project execution.
  • Strong analytical skills to utilize data for forecasting outcomes.
  • Effective communicator with robust communication and influencing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera 6.
  • Experience in HVDC projects.
