POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated Project Planner to become part of a dynamic team representing a leading contractor specializing in construction and civil engineering projects across the nation.

Reporting directly to the Managing Planner for Civils & Infrastructure, the selected candidate will handle a diverse range of responsibilities related to both tender and ongoing projects.

Our portfolio includes projects valued between £10m and over £100m, encompassing various sectors such as Highways, Earthworks, Drainage, Structures, and Rail, catering to both Private and Public Clients.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant qualifications such as ONC/HNC B Eng, NVQ, or equivalent experience.
A solid understanding of construction principles and the ability to plan construction activities across multiple project types is essential.

Proficiency in planning software, ideally Asta Powerproject, along with a strong command of tools like Excel and PowerPoint is required.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, take pride in their work, and possess excellent attention to detail, communication, organizational, and leadership skills, along with a strong focus on customer service.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborating with the tender team to define the construction sequence and earthworks strategy for each bid, along with preparing corresponding tender schedules and visuals.
Participating in tender interviews as necessary, including contributing to presentations.
Developing Contract, Construction, and Design & Procurement schedules.
Creating sequence visuals for active projects, including detailed Sub-Contractor information.
Conducting regular site visits to assess progress against the Contract schedule and attending meetings as required.
Evaluating the impact of variations on the schedule when necessary.
Preparing Completion Schedules.
