Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team at Nottingham City General Practice Alliance. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in managing chronic diseases and providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a partially patient-facing role.
  • Take responsibility for areas of chronic disease management, clinical medication reviews, and supporting general practice staff with prescription and medication queries.
  • Provide clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement.
  • Manage aspects of the quality and outcomes framework and enhanced services.

Nottingham City General Practice Alliance is a GP federation that operates to support, connect, and represent General Practices in Nottingham city. We are the lead employer for Primary Care Network (PCN) staff, employing on behalf of our member PCNs.

Requirements
  • Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Demonstrates continued professional development.
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (desirable).
  • Independent Prescriber (desirable).
  • Previous primary care experience (desirable).
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in use of EMIS / SystmOne (desirable).
