Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious education settings. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats that meet the high standards of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats for our clients
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to meet the changing needs of our clients
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared and served efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget
  • Train and coach junior members of the kitchen team to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar environment
  • Excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills
  • Passion for food and customer service
  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • Ability to work within set budgets and cost and plan menus accurately
  • Familiarity with training and coaching a team
