Position Title: Senior Procurement Practitioner

Salary: Starting from £34,032

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of contracts – both major subcontract and transactional.
  • Executing all procurement-related activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules.
  • Delivering procurement expertise in alignment with corporate policies and processes to meet business needs and performance targets.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team environment, demonstrating professionalism throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Conducting reporting, data analysis, and updating contracting documents, along with other ad hoc tasks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of contract management.
  • Exceptional communication skills in a professional context.
  • Familiarity with SAP and prior experience in procurement is advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT, including Purchase Order/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

The Procurement Team:

As a Senior Procurement Practitioner at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in placing and managing contracts for various products and services. The equipment is sourced from suppliers both domestically and internationally. This role is situated in a dynamic, commercial procurement environment, offering diverse development opportunities while working within a multifaceted team to contribute to the UK's National Defence Programme.
