Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Governance & Assurance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the placing and managing of contracts for products and/or services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics and transportation process governance, ensuring compliance with corporate Supply Chain policy and process.
- Undertaking all aspects of Material management, Governance and assurance activities, including delivering Logistics and transportation expertise.
- Providing procurement expertise in line with business requirements and performance objectives.
- Working as part of a team at pace, being professional within the Material Management field, and being flexible at all points of the Supply Chain lifecycle.
- Undertaking reporting, data analysis, updating contracting documents, and other ad hoc activities.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills within a similar professional setting.
- SAP MM knowledge with previous experience in Procurement preferable.
- Proficient IT user – Purchase Order/ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications – Advanced Excel & PP.
- Competent knowledge of Material management process and how to manage these.
- Auditing experience will be beneficial.
