Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Practitioner to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that our procurement processes are aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contracts for products and/or services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals, while ensuring that our business needs are met.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our business objectives, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that procurement processes are integrated with our business operations.
- Provide procurement expertise and guidance to colleagues, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed procurement decisions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed procurement decisions.
- Proficient in procurement software and systems, with experience in using tools such as SAP.
