Our commitment extends beyond basic services; we actively engage with communities, safeguard the environment, and strategically plan for the future of Yorkshire's water resources.

Your Role:

We are seeking a Corporate Affairs Manager (Policy and Programme) to join our Corporate Affairs Leadership Team (CALT) within the Strategy & Regulation directorate.

In this role, you will be a vital member of the CALT, supervising two staff members.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for developing external policy positions and managing our interactions with regulatory stakeholders and national policymakers.

As part of the management team, you will contribute to achieving the objectives of the Corporate Affairs function, assist in strategic planning, and drive results for the team and the organization.

Alongside other CALT members, you will regularly present detailed reports to the executive team and Board.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading policy development initiatives, including setting the agenda for the internal Policy and Influencing Group and collaborating with subject matter experts to create reports and briefing materials.
  • Overseeing the Corporate Affairs programme management, including Board preparation, horizon scanning, team strategy, and internal communications.
  • Serving as a senior spokesperson for the organization in public meetings with national stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the organization maintains clear policy positions and implementing effective influencing strategies.
  • Managing two team members focused on national and regulatory engagement and regional outreach.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders across various organizations.
  • Experience as part of a leadership team and engaging with Board members.

This role requires travel across Yorkshire, necessitating a valid UK driving license with no more than six penalty points.

We support a flexible working model, but as a manager, you will need to meet the demands of your role, which may require additional hours for collaboration, training, or meeting deadlines. Our office is open Monday to Friday during standard working hours.

If you are an experienced professional in Policy or Corporate Affairs and are passionate about delivering exceptional service while protecting the environment, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.

Recruitment Process: Following the application period, selected candidates will be invited for interviews with senior management.

We are dedicated to serving the Yorkshire region and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the communities we serve. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including a Basic Disclosure Check conducted by a third-party company.

Kelda Group reserves the right to close this position prior to the stated closing date if necessary.
