Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive production plan, taking into account resource availability, to meet customer demands.
- Coach and develop the planning team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Monitor and distribute production schedules to production and other stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless production planning by monitoring production load, capacities, and inventory levels.
- Report any capability or capacity constraints to facilitate priority production decisions.
- Complete month-end analysis of planning performance and provide reports and KPIs as required.
- Collaborate with the operations team to determine adherence to plan, support changes, and resolve issues.
- Ensure proactive communication and coordination with internal sales, production, quality, materials, and technical teams to evaluate and process requests in a timely manner.
- Support activities to improve customer services, quality, or site-wide initiatives.
- Work with the wider teams to develop and implement more sustainable solutions.
- Oversee and develop the FCS planning system.
- Drive improvements and efficiencies within the planning function.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Production to support planned preventative maintenance on machinery while minimizing impact to customer service level and production efficiency.
- Previous experience in production planning in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in delivering process improvement initiatives.
- Experience coaching and developing a team.
- Experience working cohesively as part of a wider team.
- Proactive and solution-focused.
- Ability to prioritize duties while maintaining flexibility.
- Good numerical, analytical, literacy, communication skills, and a high attention to detail.
- Competent in using all Microsoft office packages.
