Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader to join our team as a Lecturer in Childcare and Health Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment activities to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching and assessment activities, including lectures, setting and marking coursework, practicals, and field work.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, with a focus on employer engagement and learner skills development.
  • Act as a Course Leader and Academic Tutor, providing academic support to students and identifying opportunities for employment and skills-focused study.
  • Monitor and review student progress, setting targets and implementing strategies to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school community and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level as a minimum in Childcare and Education, Early Years, Health and Social Care, Nursing, or a relevant subject.
  • Experience of teaching Level 3 Childcare, Level 3 Health & Social Care, and Access to HE in an FE College, School, or private provider.
  • Successful record of tutoring and supporting learners, with experience of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring, and reviewing progress.
