Research Associate in Chemical Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented chemical biologist to join our team at Imperial College London, working on the design and application of innovative technologies for novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) discovery.

ADCs have the potential to revolutionize the treatment of various diseases by combining high efficacy with reduced side effects. Our team has developed a powerful technology platform for de novo discovery of the critical linker component of an ADC, enabling selective release of the drug to deliver maximum therapeutic index.

As a Research Associate in Chemical Biology, you will join a team of outstanding scientists in the Tate lab at Imperial's state-of-the-art Molecular Sciences Research Hub. You will have the opportunity to make foundational contributions to ADC linker technology and its application to in vivo proof of concept studies, while collaborating with entrepreneurial innovators at a fast-moving biotech.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and generate ADCs or related conjugates
  • Conduct peptide synthesis, activity-based probe design, and applications
  • Perform protein biochemistry, mammalian cell culture, and microscopy
  • Handle patient tissues and conduct proteomics and/or chemical proteomics
