This position will be primarily based in our Bristol office and may necessitate occasional travel to various project locations and stakeholder meetings.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Direction
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of mission rehearsal initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budgetary constraints.


Stakeholder Engagement
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with essential stakeholders, including military personnel, government representatives, and defense contractors. Facilitate effective dialogue and collaboration to align project objectives with stakeholder aspirations.


Risk Assessment
  • Recognize potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies to address them. Continuously monitor and manage project risks to ensure favorable project outcomes.


Resource Allocation
  • Efficiently and effectively allocate resources to meet project milestones and deliverables. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to secure necessary resources.


Financial Oversight
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved. Provide regular financial updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.


Quality Control
  • Ensure all project outputs meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry benchmarks.


Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, documentation, and briefings to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain thorough project records and documentation.


Process Enhancement
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve project performance and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior project management capacity within the defense or aerospace sector.


Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly preferred.


Stakeholder Engagement
  • Proven history of effectively managing relationships with high-level stakeholders, including military and governmental entities.


Technical Proficiency
  • Comprehensive understanding of mission rehearsal systems, weaponry, and evaluation processes. Experience with defense technologies is essential.


Project Management Expertise
  • Proficient in project planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and budget management. Familiarity with project management software and tools is required.


Communication Proficiency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.


Leadership Abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.

Security Clearance
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance is a prerequisite.
