A leading international consultancy firm specialising in risk management for the transportation and logistics sector is seeking a Project Coordinator to coordinate and manage cargo risk management load and other logístical areas. The Project Coordinator will need to have a good understanding of freight & logistics gained from a military or commercial setting. In addition the Project Coordinator will have excellent communication, organisation, IT, and time management skills. The Project Coordinator will have strong attention to detail, ability to work with people at all levels, and has good administration skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Obtain and coordinate the information required to complete the survey activity with all parties involved
- Coordinate any issues with the survey activity and liaise with the relevant party and / or obtain guidance from colleagues
- Be aware and understand short and medium length assignment activities for which you are responsible
- Coordinate required surveys from supplier to final sites
- Appoint and agree survey criteria with 3rd party surveyor and agree best price
- Monitor the survey activity and obtain initial reports from surveyor
- Coordinate surveyor attendances within agreed time scales
- Obtain report and ensure it adheres to company quality standards
- Liaise with clients
- Ensure survey activity is performed within the agreed criteria and manage any overrun / contract variation
- Ensure each survey activity is performed within the fixed price cost parameters
- Maintain company Quality Control
- Complete any ad hoc tasks as and when

**Knowledge, skills and qualifications required**:

- Good understanding of freight or logistics in military or commercial sectors (heavy lift, maritime, cargo rigging, marine cargo etc.)
- Good IT skills including MS Office
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work with people at all levels
- Previous work with documentation

**Salary**:£30,000 to £40,000 DOE
