Overview of the Role

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our esteemed Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service (NESS) as a Lead Administrator.

We are in search of a dedicated Admin Team Leader who possesses substantial administrative and leadership expertise to oversee and guide the administrative team. This team plays a crucial role in managing the flow of patient referrals from initial contact through to diagnosis and discharge.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the daily oversight and mentorship of administrative staff, ensuring that exceptional administrative support is consistently provided to the clinical team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Extensive experience in a comparable role, including staff supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of protocols related to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with patient information management systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, patients, and external organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, office management skills, and the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

You will operate under the direct guidance of the Service Manager.

Job Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to take a leading role in the daily management of administrative and secretarial personnel, ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective administrative service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring data quality and timelines align with Trust and CQUIN targets.
  • Collaborating closely with Contractors, Trust Estates, IT, Procurement, and Support Services to manage site operations effectively.
  • Overseeing the Health and Safety Workbook in accordance with the Trust's Health and Safety policy concerning administrative staff and shared site areas.

This position requires an experienced individual with relevant qualifications and a proven track record in staff management. The candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with practical experience in site management.

Important Note

Please be aware that this position does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa.

For candidates without prior NHS experience, placement will typically be at the entry level of the band in accordance with Agenda for Change, which is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
