We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Scientist to lead our Genomics Service Development team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our genomics services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Development: Lead the development and implementation of our genomics services, ensuring they align with national and local strategies.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality genomics services.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our genomics laboratory, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Research and Development: Lead the development and implementation of new genomics technologies and services, ensuring they meet the needs of our patients and stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for our team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality genomics services.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant experience as a Clinical Scientist in a genomics laboratory, with a proven track record of service development and implementation.
  • Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification or equivalent level of experience in a subject relevant to genomics, with a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathology (FRCPath) in an appropriate discipline.
  • Registration: HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
  • Skills: Advanced specialist scientific and clinical knowledge in the diagnostic field of genomics, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
