About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to take on the position of Clinical and Professional Lead for the Tier 4 CAMHS Psychology Service. This is a newly developed role, designed to improve the professional structure of psychology within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take on a new Consultant Psychologist position, with overall leadership, professionally and clinically, for Clinical Psychology staff within Tier 4 CAMHS.
  • Supervise senior and other qualified Clinical Psychology staff, and hold a reasonable clinical caseload.
  • Contribute to Service development, involving training others, and developing the psychological knowledge of other professionals within the Tier 4 service.
  • Liaise with other agencies as required, and contribute to multi-disciplinary working.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications, knowledge, and experience:

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Extensive assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention with clients across all care settings.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
  • Experience of the professional management of qualified and prequalified clinical psychologists and of other professionals.
  • Experience of policy and service development, and of initiating and implementing service improvements and developments in both specialist and generic areas.
