About Stirling Dynamics

Stirling Dynamics is a leading provider of cutting-edge electronic solutions for the Aerospace & Defense sector, with a particular focus on Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing Aircraft (EVTOL). We are seeking talented Electronics Hardware Design Engineers to contribute to our dynamic team in Bristol.

Your Role

  • Develop high-quality electronics designs for aerospace products, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements of this demanding industry.
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements gathering to final production implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with a skilled team of engineers to create innovative electro-mechanical systems that push the boundaries of aerospace technology.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or active pursuit of Chartership is highly valued.

Technical Expertise We Seek

  • In-depth understanding of hardware requirements and design principles.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges with a systematic and methodical approach.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within the engineering team and across departments.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience influencing hardware development processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies for software development.

Technical Toolset Proficiency

  • Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • LTspice for circuit simulation and analysis.
  • Git, Jira, and Confluence for version control, project management, and documentation.
