Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling aircraft and engine components, using a variety of materials and techniques. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble aircraft and engine components using a variety of materials and techniques
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that products meet quality and performance standards
  • Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including CNC machines and welding equipment
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure that products meet specifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste

Requirements

  • Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant trade, such as fabrication, welding, or mechanical engineering
  • Level 3 NVQ technical certificate or Level 2 NVQ with relevant industry experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
