Mirfield, Kirklees, United Kingdom Camira Full time

Company Overview

Camira is a distinguished textile manufacturer, celebrated for its innovative designs and commitment to sustainability. With a rich heritage spanning centuries, we specialize in creating exquisite, eco-friendly fabrics tailored for various sectors including commercial, residential, and transportation.

Role Objective

We are seeking a Financial Analyst (Initial 6 Month FTC) to assist in optimizing our working capital management. This position will focus on analyzing and reporting Camira's Global Working Capital performance, playing a crucial role in enhancing our cash flow through the identification of opportunities within the existing working capital cycle.

The primary goal of this role is to aid in minimizing the duration of our average cash cycle (Debtor Days + Inventory Days – Creditor Days), with an initial emphasis on reducing Inventory Days. Collaborating closely with the Head of Projects, you will evaluate global inventory metrics, partner with various departments to expedite the liquidation of slow-moving stock, and establish controls to prevent excessive inventory while maintaining service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential risks within Camira's inventory and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, customer service, and sales teams to enhance inventory turnover.
  • Provide monthly reports on inventory turnover performance along with actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze and report on working capital performance, offering cash flow insights to the board.
  • Evaluate debtor and creditor balances, assessing their influence on overall group cash flow.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA part qualified or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth understanding of cash flow dynamics.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
  • Background in finance roles with a focus on inventory management.
  • Proven ability to challenge assumptions and drive organizational change.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment.
  • Familiarity with AS400, Power BI, and cash flow reporting is desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Presentation and project management skills are a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  • A proactive self-starter who excels at interpreting complex data to guide decision-making.
  • Highly communicative and personable, with a talent for building relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

Employee Benefits:

  • Life Assurance.
  • Pension plan with an employer contribution of 4%.
  • Private Medical Insurance (Single Cover).
