This role will support the Finance Chief Control Management team in driving forward the transformation of the Group's risk and control agenda, delivering an effective and robust control environment within Group Finance in partnership with Risk and Control Owners and Risk Specialists.

What you'll need

  • Professional qualification in related field (audit, risk management, accounting) with in-depth specialist risk capabilities, professional knowledge and financial competence.
  • Finance risk and control expertise in relation to Operational (Non-Financial) risk categories across accounting processes and systems, with the skills to challenge risk and control owners on the end-to-end management of risk.
  • Operational expertise aligned to management of Operational (Non-Financial) Risk, including some experience (or transferable experience) related to the risk arising from Operational Resilience, Security, Sourcing, Compliance, Economic Crime, Change and IT systems within a Finance function.
  • Understanding of how Risk Management framework interlocks with Group Policy requirements in the context of Finance operationally, or can demonstrate where this experience has been held within a similar function / business area
  • Understanding of control management and the practical implementation across relevant business area with a record of leading control design, optimisation, automation, testing and monitoring activities.
  • Builts partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives at pace - working effectively with all other lines of defence and understands the different but complimentary roles.
