**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced adoptive parent to join our team as a Family Peer Network Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead a peer mentoring service, working closely with our staff to support adopters across the region.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and lead the peer mentoring service, working with experienced adopter peer mentors to support adopters at different stages of their adoption journey.
  • Support peer mentors to participate in service development, co-producing work and representing the voice of adopters throughout the region.
  • Work creatively with our staff to develop and deliver training and support for peer mentors.
  • Provide advice and guidance to adopters, acting as a positive role model and promoting a supportive community.

**Requirements**

  • Experience as an adoptive parent, with a strong commitment to peer mentoring and a passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and relational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to travel around the regional area, covering Nottinghamshire, Nottingham City, Derbyshire, and Derby City.
  • Comfortable with sharing aspects of their lived experience and adoption journey in a variety of contexts.
