Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Youth Development Specialist. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working on a new project to develop a multi-disciplinary team that supports adoptive children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partner agencies, including education, health, and social care workers, to provide a comprehensive support system for young people.
- Work with a trauma-informed approach and a youth work methodology to support the needs of adoptive children and their families.
- Develop and implement a strength-based approach to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
- Contribute to the development of the youth offer within our organization and participate in the strategic MDT group.
- Work closely with the Nottinghamshire Youth Service to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
Requirements
- Commitment to working with adoptive children and their families.
- Passion for adoption issues and a working knowledge of this specialist area or trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to work creatively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to travel within the regional area.
