Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Family Peer Network Coordinator within Nottinghamshire County Council. This position is integral to enhancing our commitment to incorporating the perspectives of adopters into our service framework.
Role Responsibilities: The successful candidate will collaborate creatively with our team to establish a peer mentoring initiative, known as 'Peers4Peers'. This program will focus on the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of experienced adopter peer mentors. These mentors will assist adopters at various stages of their journey through personalized support, group sessions, and informal gatherings.
Key Duties Include:
- Facilitating one-on-one and group mentoring sessions.
- Promoting the sharing of adopter experiences within our training programs.
- Encouraging peer mentors to engage in service development through collaborative efforts.
Candidate Profile: We are looking for an individual who is an experienced adoptive parent, passionate about peer mentoring, and willing to share their personal adoption journey.
