We are currently looking for a Contract Procurement Specialist to work with a prominent international manufacturing firm. This role is a contract position with potential for extension.

As part of the purchasing team, you will collaborate closely with the Procurement Manager and a team comprising four buyers, a project manager, and two procurement specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage requisitions and provide comprehensive support for purchasing, supply chain operations, sourcing, cost analysis, pricing evaluations, and contract formulation.
  • Design and implement improvement strategies to boost operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and refine processes to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in customer proposal efforts by providing pricing insights and supplier recommendations.
  • Carry out administrative duties to support strategic purchasing initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing or engineering sectors.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making in procurement activities.

This contract role offers a pathway for career advancement into a Category Buyer position, with training provided. The compensation is competitive, along with benefits including 33 days of holiday and pension contributions.

The position offers flexibility with hybrid working arrangements available.
