About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As an Integrated Midwife with a Specialist Interest in Maternity Triage, you will provide high-quality care to women with low and high-risk pregnancies, working in both hospital and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ante-natal, post-natal and intrapartum care to women with low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Rotate through all areas of the service as required, including Continuity of Carer and Community.
  • Act as the woman's advocate, promoting and delivering the highest standard of midwifery care.
  • Assess the woman's physical, psychological and spiritual needs, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care.
  • Monitor the woman's condition, interpret observations and identify deviations from normal.
Requirements
  • Good level of post-registration experience, including experience within a relevant clinical environment.
  • Previous experience of participating in research and audit.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children procedures.
  • Registered band 6 midwife.
  • Possession of a relevant degree or studying towards it.
