About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated midwife to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As an Integrated Midwife with a Specialist Interest in Maternity Triage, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and their families throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert midwifery care in both hospital and community settings, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for mothers, babies, and their families.
  • Act as a woman's advocate, promoting and delivering midwifery care that addresses her physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care, involving the woman and her family as appropriate.
  • Monitor the woman's condition, interpret observations, and identify deviations from normal, reporting and referring to relevant health professionals as needed.
  • Keep the woman and her family informed, maintaining client confidentiality and ensuring midwifery care is flexible to meet their diverse needs.
