Job Title: Growing and Horticulture Programme Lead

Job Summary:

The Camphill Village Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Growing and Horticulture Programme. As the Programme Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the garden, leading a team of staff and volunteers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of staff and volunteers in delivering the strategic aims of the social farm/garden.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of AQA accredited structured programmes of Green Care activities.
  • Review the progress and development of each individual learner, gather evidence to demonstrate progression, and identify new/individual goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement a range of Green Care activities, which can be delivered to the people we support.
  • Manage the horticultural land in accordance with organic principles.
  • Ensure all team members work in accordance with policy, procedures, practices, and controls.
  • Undertake other such tasks as required individually, or with others to develop and maintain the high quality of service required to fulfil the vision of the social farm/garden.

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in either Horticulture and/or Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle during working time.
  • Qualifications in garden machinery operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work with a high level of autonomy and without closed supervision.
  • Good organisational skills and proven ability to manage own time and workload.
  • Kind and approachable with excellent listening skills, tact, and keenness to offer support.
